Art Cars of Houston, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit, was formed by Art Car Artists in 2009 to advance the Art Car craft, advocate for Art Car Artists and encourage new Art Car Artists/Builders through a series of workshops, outings and public events.   ACoH also aims to promote Art Cars for entertainment and performance in a variety of venues both public and private. ACoH celebrates the “car” aspect of Art Cars alongside the “art” aspect.  Art Cars are for driving & performing - not just for viewing!

In 2009 ACoH launched its flagship program, GLOWORAMA, a community-wide juried illuminated Art Car event designed to showcase Art Cars in a uniquely Houston fashion – brilliantly lighted and blowing fire.  These Art Cars fuse technology and art, often incorporating kinetic parts, exotic lighting, fire and even pyrotechnics. 

ACoH was created BY and FOR Art Car Owners/Artists & potential Art Car builders and is 100% volunteer run .  All funds raised are used to benefit Art Car Owners, Artists & aspirants.
